From 27th to 29th October 2017, in Dobrinishte – Bulgaria, a Green School and Camp for waste management entitled “We esteem life” shall be conducted. The Green camp is aimed at students from the primary education of the cross-border region of Bulgaria and Macedonia, at the age of 10 up to 15 years old.
The Green camp is organized in the frame of project "Cross-border partnership for environmental protection and quality of life - Waste EDU”, implemented by the Alliance of the Producers of Ecological Energy - BG and Center for Climate Change-Gevgelija, and co-financed by the European Union through the IPA CBC Programme Bulgaria – The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”.
The main objective of the Green School and Camp is to raise the awareness and knowledge of the students from primary education in the cross-border area of Bulgaria and Macedonia on proper and efficient waste management. What is more, the event is aimed at ensuring direct participation of the students into the project activities.
During the Green School, students will learn and discuss waste management, environmental protection and how to achieve better quality of life through various methods such as presentations, educative movies, creative activities and activities in nature. In addition, as part of the Green School and Camp, an interactive Energy Independent House Model will be demonstrated.
The Green School and Camp is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn, rediscover and confirm abilities and talents, develop skills, collective work, entertain and create new friendships all in one, in a different environment from the classroom. Thus, classroom is replaced by nature.
The Green School and Camp shall be attended by total of 30 students from the primary education - 15 students from Bulgaria and 15 students from Macedonia. The food and accommodation costs will be covered by the organizer of the event – Alliance of the Producers of Ecological Energy - BG.
